I am a transplant from Minnesota and have lived in Colorado for over 25 years. I graduated from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota with an Accounting degree. After moving to Colorado, I have had quite a varied career – Auditor for the Dept. of Defense, small business owner, full time mom, and Substitute Teacher in Windsor. I have three grown children. Along with being the Manager at Anshor, I also teach Behind the Wheel lessons and administer drive tests.

KURT SMITH | GREELEY
Hi….I’m happy to be one of the skilled drivers for Anshor Driving School. I have been associated with education and/or coaching since graduating from the University of Wyoming in 1992. I currently teach Physical Education at the elementary level, but have taught students up through high school. My teaching endeavors have taken me from Guam to Arizona, and now back closer to “home” here in Colorado, where I hope to reside for many years to come. When I am not teaching school or teaching safe and proper driving skills to students, I can be found chasing fish about in various local waters. I have been married for almost a quarter of a century to my wonderful wife Kathy. We have 2 school aged children, our son is currently going through Anshor Driving School and our daughter will undoubtedly be an Anshor student sometime in the future.

ROXANNE TORRES | GREELEY
Hello! My name is Roxanne Torres, I was born and raised in El Paso Texas. I currently live in Greeley, and it’s been my home for the last 6 years. Most of my family lives back in Texas so my loved ones in Colorado are my boyfriend and my cat Lindy who I love dearly. Some of my hobbies include reading, dancing/ listening to music, and traveling; I also love the outdoors and look forward to camping, hiking, and lake days every year. It has to be my favorite thing about Colorado! I’ve been working at Anshor for about 2 years and couldn’t ask for a better work family. Thanks to the amazing work-life balance that my job allows me I’ve been able to travel more and experience different places like I always wanted to. Being a driving instructor can be very rewarding, individuals give me the opportunity and trust to help them get over any doubt or fear they might have to get behind the wheel, and the same person who walked in extremely nervous leaves as a better and confident driver, and for that I am proud to be a part of Anshor.

EARL FONTENOT | GREELEY
I’ve lived in Colorado most of my life, starting in Longmont, then Thornton, and now Greeley. My family is split between Greeley and Texas, with six grandchildren, three in each location. My loyal companion is Herbert, my 220-pound English Mastiff. Professionally, I’ve spent 15 years in transportation, driving big rigs and teaching. My hobbies include swimming, jogging, and strength training. At Anshor, I enjoy using my driving experience to help young drivers become safe and skilled. Seeing their progress from the first lesson to passing their test is incredibly rewarding.

MIKE ROSALES | GREELEY
I have started my 4th year with Anshor Driving School. I have great experience having completed almost 900 drives with students so far. Even with 30 years experience as a teacher/coach I still enjoy the diversity of the drivers I instruct. Like Forrest Gump said ” You never know what you’ll get.” I say, ” no two are the same.” Safety always comes first, if either you or I have concerns about the weather or road conditions, it’s usually best to reschedule. This gets the most out of your time with me. The thing I like best about my job is the students’ reaction when they realize parallel parking is much easier than they thought it would be.

MAJOR HUDSON | GREELEY
Colorado born and raised. College Graduate. As an older generation, I have had a diverse career. Certified Trained Peace Officer, Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant-Certified Clinical Instructor, Onboard New Driver Trainer for large City Buses, Behind the Wheel Lessons Instructor with Anshor Driving School. I have spent most of my adult life training others to be better at what they are doing. I receive rewarding pleasure in being able to participate in your children’s driving experiences.

LARRY BARNES | LOVELAND
Residing in Loveland with my wife and two beloved dogs, I’ve dedicated the past 17 years to teaching and training drivers in the vibrant community of Fort Collins. When I’m not behind the wheel, you can find me indulging in my passions for camping, fishing, driving horses, and playing pool. Anshor holds a special place in my heart, not only for the opportunity to guide young drivers towards excellence but also for the joy of teaching my own granddaughter. There’s nothing quite like witnessing their growth and confidence behind the wheel.

REED KLEMMER | GREELEY
I grew up in Windsor Colorado, and currently do permit tests and provide administrative support for Anshor. I am passionate about making music and studied music performance on clarinet at Colorado State University-Pueblo. I play in multiple bands in Colorado, and play a variety of instruments including guitar, bass, keyboards, saxophone, clarinet, and more!
